Certification is not an add-on. Every order leaves with documentation that matches the material that is in the box, traceable to a heat number.
The certificate issued with your order depends on what the contract requires and what the application demands.
| Document | What it confirms | When issued |
|---|---|---|
| EN 10204 3.1 | Chemical composition and mechanical properties as determined by the manufacturer | Standard with every order |
| EN 10204 3.2 | As 3.1, with confirmation by an independent inspector | On request or where the contract requires it |
| EN 10204 2.1 / 2.2 | Initial inspection versus specific inspection with a defined frequency | On agreement |
Each consignment is linked to a heat number. That heat number follows the material from the mill certificate through cutting, forming, heat treatment and machining to the finished part, and it appears on the certificate and on the despatch paperwork.
We work with the inspection house your customer nominates — SGS, BV, TUV, Lloyd's, Intertek or a customer-appointed inspector. Release before shipment can be arranged; the cost and the timing are agreed in the order.
Every order is supplied with an EN 10204 3.1 material certificate covering the actual heat analysis, including the grade designation, the heat number and the chemical composition. EN 10204 3.2 certification is issued where the contract or the end customer requires independent verification.
Yes. We accept SGS, BV, TUV, Lloyd's and customer appointed inspection. The inspection release can be arranged before shipment, and the certificate is issued against the release document.
For gas turbine components we work from the OEM part number and the drawing. We confirm material equivalence, supply the certificate and record the part number on the documentation, so the part is traceable in the same way as the original.
Where the application falls under the Pressure Equipment Directive, PED documentation is prepared as part of the order. State the PED category and the harmonised standard on your enquiry.
